"What If" Report for Faculty & Staff

A "What-If" degree progress report is often run:

-when a student is interested in changing his/her major to determine what already-taken classes will transfer to new major.


Steps:

  1. Click the Add a New Value tab.

    Step 1
  2. Enter the student's ID number.

  3. Enter DPRWI or choose from the magnifying glass search.

    Step 3
  4. Click the Add button.

    Step 4
  5. Click on the Use Career Simulation option.  

    Step 5
  6. Click the View/Change the Career Simulation link.

    Step 6
  7. Choose Univ of Southern Mississippi for Academic Institution.

    Step 7
  8. Choose the appropriate academic career (undergrad, grad, etc).

    Step 8
  9. Enter the career requirement term code.

     

    4118 - Summer 2011

    4121 - Fall 2011

    4125 - Spring 2012

    4128 - Summer 2012

    Step 9
  10. Enter the requirement term code.

     

    4118 - Summer 2011

    4121 - Fall 2011

    4125 - Spring 2012

    4128 - Summer 2012

    Step 10
  11. Enter the Academic Program code of the "new" major of interest. 

    Step 11
  12. Choose to "Include."

    Step 12
  13. Enter the same requirement term as before.  

    Step 13
  14. Enter the academic plan code of the "new" major of interest.

    Step 14
  15. Enter "1"

    Step 15
  16. Choose to "Include."

  17. Click the OK button.

    Step 17
  18. Click the Process Request button.

  19. This is a MOCK Degree Progress Report of how it would be if the student switched to the selected major.
