Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) subscribed to by The University of Southern Mississippi.  All online classes are required to go through Canvas but face-to-face instructors may also use the product, if they choose. The platform looks complex.

This workshop is a crash course in the platform focused on explaining the complexities of Canvas and trying to make them seem simple. Topics covered in this session are:

• logging into Canvas
• using the global navigation
• accessing your course
• using the course navigation
• modifying the Home page
• creating a module
• adding content
• creating an assignment
