There are two web conferencing packages supported by iTech and the Office of Online Learning at USM:

• Microsoft Teams
• Cisco Webex

This workshop covers Cisco Webex.  Webex is a web conferencing platform, which is what some faculty use for “Live Chat” in their online classes.  There are some advantages to using Webex, rather than other web conferencing products available. This workshop will explain those advantages.

The workshop will last between 45-60 minutes, depending on questions.  Topics covered during the workshop are:

• Creating Webex Meetings
• Starting, Joining, and finding information students may need to join a meeting
• Controlling Meetings
• Software Features (including Breakout Rooms)
• Meeting Recording and placement in Canvas
• Attendance Tracking

This meeting is led by Mark Ferguson and will be held virtually through Cisco Webex. The meeting link will be sent to you in an email after you have registered for the event.
