There are two web conferencing packages supported by iTech and the Office of Online Learning at USM:

• Microsoft Teams
• Cisco Webex

This workshop covers Microsoft Teams, but not all of Teams.  Teams is Microsoft’s answer to Slack.  It is a software package that contains several features.  This workshop covers the web conferencing features of Teams, which is what some faculty use for “Live Chat” in their online classes.

The workshop will last between 45-60 minutes, depending on questions.  Topics covered during the workshop are:

• Creating Teams Meetings through Microsoft and Canvas
• Accessing Teams Meetings
• Controlling Teams Meetings
• Software Features (including Breakout Rooms)
• Meeting Recordings
• Adding Recordings to Canvas

This meeting is led by Mark Ferguson and will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams. The meeting link will be sent to you in an email after you have registered for the event.
