Web conferencing is a way for instructors to synchronously communicate with students online, in real time.  Currently, USM has three different applications that facilitate web conferencing: Big Blue Button, Yuja Video Classroom, and Skype Meetings.  Each application has certain benefits and limitations. This workshop is designed as an overview of each application. Topics included within this workshop are:

• Application functionality

• Connection to a course (Canvas)

• Session archiving/recording

Big Blue Button and Yuja are developing new versions of their web conferencing products.  Those update will be discussed in detail. Skype Meetings have not had any significant updates but this option will also be sufficiently discussed.
